Augustin Rebetez was born in 1986 in Switzerland. Trained as a photographer, he also uses stop-motion video, painting, writing and installations to shape his artistic universe. Since 2009, he has been regularly showing his work in Switzerland and abroad, alternating between solo exhibitions and collaborative projects. He often teams up with the artist Noé Cauderay, his travel companion in the fringes of photography, but also with musicians (Louis Jucker, Pascal Lopinat, Adil Coralic), architects (Giona Bierens de Haan & Le Repaire Fantastique), or stage directors and performers (Zimmermann & de Perrot, Eugénie Rebetez, Cowboy Noir). His pictures evoke a surprising maelstrom of delicate darkness, spontaneous poetry and shingling humour, arising from a raw surge of refreshing freedom. © All Images
