Phillip Koll is a German photographer interested in the fields of fashion, portrait and still life. After discontinued graphic design studies at Central Saint Martins in London and the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam he now concentrates on photography with the aim to create images that deal with abstraction and unrecognizability. Thus he choose to not continue them, the past studies have influenced the choice of his subject as typography and printed media became an reoccuring element within his photographs. While he prefers digital technique over analogue, he aims to avoid retouching as the endless possibilities to change a photograph prevent it‘s state of a finished artwork.  Instead, the release of the shutter symbolizes a point of finalization. © All Images
