Uncommon Matters – NEW CURVE
Let us present to you a new collection by someone you might have seen here before. Designer Amélie Riech came up with wonderful new pieces, shot by talented Matthias Weingärtner, for Uncommon Matters we've already fallen in love with:
"The soft strength of the curve sets the stage for Uncommon Matters Fall/Winter 2014 collection. Designer Amélie Riech coaxes complex and alluring pieces from metal, stone and new materials. Circular shapes provide resilience to cuffs, earrings and collars. Rings double-up with rounded stacking forms, while orbital bracelets turn and transform, adding dimension. A study in contrasts comes through pairing full and void surfaces, black and white details, matte and glossy finishes - these subtly intricate styles demand a second look. Uncommon Matters signature details such as hidden closures and refined minimalist lines are enhanced by this season’s curvilinear calibrations. Fine craftsmanship is a given, with materials including hand-polished metal, gold, silver and rose-gold plating, black and white hand-cut onyx rounding out the collection’s appeal.
With their affinity to graphic Constructivism, the designs in the New Curve collection bring a new fluid look to Uncommon Matters, delivering an elegant, yet ultimately relaxed modernism."© All Images
